Hauppauge School Budget Passes, Incumbents Ousted From Board

Hauppauge residents approved the school district’s $104.44 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a vote of 1,358-552. 

The budget includes 2.56 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 2.14 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap. 

Lawrence Crafa and James Kiley won seats on the Hauppauge Board of Education, defeating incumbents Susan B. Hodosky and Geri Richter.
