Middle School Teacher Named 2011 Promising New Professional
Home and Career teacher Laura Ciano wins award from professional group.
Hauppauge Middle School teacher Laura Ciano was awarded the 2011 Promising New Professional award by the Long Island Family and Consumer Science Professionals.
“Mrs. Ciano is a thoughtful and positive presence in our school that consistently looks out for the needs of our children,” said Middle School Principal Maryann Fletcher in a statement.
“She has made a clear impact on our students, their parents and her colleagues. She also has the ability to focus on her direct responsibilities, while looking at building issues in a positive and effective manner," Fletcher added.
