Middle Schoolers Lauded for 'Godspell Jr.' Performance

Students show off their musical talents in school production.

The Hauppauge Middle School musical students gave a short encore of their performance of "Godspell Jr." to residents at a Board of Education meeting Tuesday night. The students performed the show over the weekend to two full crowds.

During the meeting, Superintendent Patricia Sullivan-Kriss announced that the district is looking to hire a new director of fine and performing arts, as the current director, Josephine Gallarello, is retiring.

Bernie Jones, who recently retired from the same position at the West Islip School District will temporarily fill the role.
