Nov. 24: Wii games, Interfaith Thanksgiving And A Candlelight Vigil

Wednesday mixes leisure and Thanksgiving events before the holiday.

This Wednesday marks Thanksgiving Eve with mix a leisure activities and gratitude. Stay tuned to Patch for ongoing Thanksgiving Day coverage designed to help you make the most of the holiday weekend.

1. Hauppauge students have an extra day off from classes as it's Superintendent Conference Day. Spend the extra day with family or celebrating your gratitude with your favorite activities.

2. It's at the for students in grades 6 to 12. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., visit the library to play various games with friends.

A held at 7 p.m. in .  Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Jewish and other faiths from across Hauppauge will gather to give thanks. A free will offering will be collected to form a scholarship fund for a Hauppauge senior who practices their faith and community service.

4. A candlelight memorial service in memory of former student Courtney Sipes on Tuesday night. Patch will have photos and more on her foundation's missions to improve pedestrian safety.
