Icy Roads Cause Delayed Openings
Ice storm causes schools, library, pre-schools and college to postpone the start of the day.
Schools and businesses throughout Hauppauge are delaying their openings Wednesday morning due to icy road conditions.
Hauppauge school district announced all buildings will have a two-hour delayed start. It posted this message on it website: "Due to inclement weather, there will be a two-hour delayed opening today, Wednesday, February 2, 2011."
In addition, several of the areas pre-schools and childcare centers have delayed openings. and will open at 9 a.m. in Hauppauge's industrial park has delayed its opening until 10 a.m.
