7th Annual 5k Running of the Bull in Memory of Courtney Sipes

5k Running of the Bull and 1k Family Fun Walk 5k is a fast, flat 3.1 mile course through the scenic streets of Smithtown. 5k: $20 early registration / $25 day of race 1k: $10 per person Post race amenities, awards, music and fun! In Honor of the Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation On November 24, 2009 at age 11 we tragically lost Courtney in Smithtown. See just how wonderful Courtney was at http://www.courtneysipes.org/. Courtney personally helped out at the 2009 race in the rain. She ran the 1K and was a big help to all of us. The Running of The Bull was conceived to inspire the youth of our area. We now find we are inspired by Courtney and her incredible giving spirit. This race will be in her honor. Support Angelas House The Running of the Bull has honored Angelas House (http://www.angelashouse.org/ ) every year since it started. Great news - they are building their 3rd home to help even more children! Bring A Food Item Now more than ever, the food pantry needs your support. Grab a can on your way out the door , and feel the giving spirit as you run! Seven Years At this point,if you have run this race every year, you are now legally married to it. Thousands of dollars have been raised for both the Courtney Sipes Foundation and Angela's House. Every year we fill up the shelves at the local food pantry. Thanks for making it a great event every year.
