The Eagles are 0-1 after their first week of competition in Division III, falling 27 - 38 to Amityville on Sept. 7. Hauppauge varsity football managed to get out to an early lead in the first quarter, up 14-12 and remained ahead at halftime. However, the Eagles lost the game in the third quarter by allowing Amityville to score 12 unanswered points.
Hauppauge will play Kings Park, who beat Islip last week by a score of 18-3.
