Hauppauge Wrestling Holds Alumni Night
Former wrestlers to attend match between Eagles and the Riverhead Blue Waves.
Former Hauppauge High School Varsity wrestlers will be on hand on Jan. 18 to celebrate the program's 4th annual alumni night.
The 6:30 p.m. event, which will see past wrestlers in the crowd, will take place during the current team's match against the Riverhead Blue Waves at Hauppauge High School, a match-up that hasn't happened since 1976, according to Charlie Clackett, an event organizer.
Clackett, a 1986 alum, said in an email that he is looking for photos and other memorabilia from past wrestling seasons, which attendees can bring to the match.

"We will also be recognizing the seniors for their contributions over the years so please bring some vintage garb for our Alumni Photo. Neil Kuska gets kudos for fitting in his 1973 varsity jacket," he wrote.
