Nov. 4: Volleyball, Spaghetti and Budgets

This Thursday brings a little bit of everything to the plate.

This Thursday is bringing a bit of everything to the plate, and a bit more. Sports fans can go cheer on the volleyball team. Those who enjoy food and good friends can share a bit of spaghetti. Of course, add a Starry Night concert and it lends itself to a romantic Italian-themed night.

1. Hauppauge boys varsity volleyball travels to take on  at 6 p.m. The Eagles will dig deep in their effort to win the first round of playoffs for the Division II championship. Let's go Eagles.

2. Grab your family and friends for the  at , 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The cafeteria was expanded over  summer, so take a chance to look around.

3. Travel to Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook University for a  performance beginning at 8 p.m. Artists-in-residence will present a musical program featuring the Beethoven Trio in B flat Major for Piano, Clarinet and Cello, Op. 11, Ravel Piano Trio, and more.

4. Suffolk County Legislature held an all-day Wednesday session, from 10 a.m. to well past 6:30 p.m. Patch reported on, and more stories about Suffolk's 2011 budget will appear later.
