The Hauppauge Eagles varsity football team fell to the Riverhead Blue Waves, 45-13, on Friday night. Riverhead took control of the field with its throwing game, relying on their fast squad.

The loss brings the Hauppauge Eagles to 1-1, while Riverhead moves up in the rankings to 2-0. The Blue Waves beat No. 1 seeded East Islip in the first week of the season.
