Sports Scoreboard: Boys, Girls Soccer Teams Win at Kicks for Cancer

Here's a wrap up of Hauppauge's varsity sports teams scores over the last week.

Commack's fall varsity sports team are moving into the final stretch of their league seasons, jockeying for spots in the post-season play. As many compete to for a chance at a title, here's a look at how the Cougars did this past week. 

Hauppauge varsity football team fell by narrow margin to Eastport - South Manorville football, 14-20, on Friday. This drops the Eagles to a division record of 2-4. 

The Eagles will host Huntington for their Homecoming at 5 p.m. Saturday. Check Patch later this week for a full schedule of Hauppauge's homecoming activities.

On the soccer fields, Hauppauge boys varsity soccer beat Copiague 4-1 on at Kicks for Cancer on Friday, bringing their League IV record to 4-4-1 and overall record to 5-5-1.  The boys soccer team will host Comsewogue at 4:30 p.m. Monday. 

The Lady Eagles girls soccer team beat Division II's Lindenhurst 1-0 on Friday night's Kicks for Cancer fundraiser. The girls soccer team remains undefeated in League IV play with 4 games to go with an 8-0 record.

The girls soccer team will hit the roada to play Kings Park at 4 p.m. Tuesday. 

In the gym, the girls varsity volleyball team swept Riverhead, 3-0 sets, on Friday evening. This firmly places the Lady Eagles in second place in League IV, one game behind Bellport.
