Live-brary.com Celebrates Milestone

Live-brary celebrates its one millionth circulaton

Live-brary.com, the Suffolk County Public Libraries’ digital branch which includes downloads of books for free to library cardholders in Suffolk County, has circulated its one millionth item.  In fact, Live-brary has circulated more items in 2012 than it did from its inception in April 2007 through December 2011.

Live-brary.com provides access to valuable and practical information such as genealogy databases, consumer reports, resources for homework help, historic newspapers, foreign language eBooks, online foreign language courses, encyclopedias for kids, and more.

“Any Suffolk resident can login to Live-brary.com from their home or anywhere in the world with their library card,” said Suffolk Cooperative Library System Director Kevin Verbesey.  “We are happy to see so many people taking advantage of the educational and informative resources Live-brary.com has to offer.”

To set up your account simply go to http://live-brary.com, click onto a database or area of interest, enter your library card number in the barcode field, and login.  A wealth of information is available at your fingertips!
