Happuauge Little League Parade This Saturday

Baseball players kick off 2013 season with bells and whistles this weekend.

Spring is here, which means it’s time to get out the bat and glove for Little League season. The Hauppauge Little League will kick off its 2013 season with the return of its opening day parade.

The event will start at 9:30 a.m. on April 13 at the H. Lee Dennison Building.

Leading the over 450 players aged 6 to 16 down the parade route will be Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy (R-Nesconset, 12th District), New York State Assemblyman Mike Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown), and Suffolk County Legislator Tom Cilmi (R-East Islip, 10th District).

Join the Hauppauge Fire Department and the rest of the community as they march to the sounds of DJ Willie as the town kicks off the un-official start to spring.

The Hauppauge Little League is affiliated with the Hauppauge Youth Organization and is dedicated to the youth in our community by providing baseball, basketball, football, girls' lacrosse, and girls’ softball. The League also offers men’s and women’s softball for the adults of the community.
