Hauppauge Little League Celebrates Opening Day

Baseball players kick off the 2013 season with a parade and game.

The Hauppauge Little League kicked off opening day on Saturday.

The baseball players started the season with a parade at the H. Lee Dennison Building, as more than 450 players, ages 6 to 16, marched down the parade route with Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy (R-Nesconset, 12th District),New York State Assemblyman Mike Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown), and Suffolk County Legislator Tom Cilmi (R-East Islip, 10th District).

The Hauppauge Fire Department also joined in the season kick off as the weekend game marked the first day of the season.

The Hauppauge Little League is affiliated with the Hauppauge Youth Organization and is dedicated to the youth in our community by providing baseball, basketball, football, girls' lacrosse, and girls’ softball. We also offer men’s and women’s softball for the adults of the community.
