Angela's House Raises Over $7K on Fishing Charter

More than 200 supported fished for a cause off three boats out of Captree State Park.

Angela's House raised more than $7,000 on its sixth annual fishing trip on July 11. More than 200 supported headed out to fish for a cause out of Captree State Park.

The size of the fishing trip was more than double those who participated in 2011, where Angela's House only had roughly 100 make the trip. Lines were cast from three boats Fish Tale, Yankee III and Dixie II.

Sponsoring the event were local businesses, Fish Tale, Siben & Siben attorneys at law, Avery Biomedical Devices and Horan Martello and Morrone.

Angela’s House is a Hauppauge-based nonprofit that helps children with special health care needs due to chronic or life-threatening illness. It has residential homes in Smithtown, East Meadow and a third under construction near Stony Brook Hospital.
