Photo: 2 Win Scholarships From Smithtown Library Group
An essay contest was held by the Friends of the Smithtown Library.
Smithtown residents Brittany Jaworski and Matthew Grasso were recently awarded scholarships from the volunteer group, Friends of the Smithtown Library for their participation in an essay contest.
Entrants were required to write a 350-500 word essay about a positive experience they had at the library. The contest was open to all Town of Smithtown high school aged students.
Jaworski, was presented her first place $400 check at the Friends Family Summer Concert Series last week. Grasso, was awarded a $200 check as first runner-up.
