Photo of the Day: Teens Raise $1,600 for Angela's House

Hauppauge High School students host garage sale to benefit charity for sick children.

Two Hauppauge teens hosted a garage sale that raised $1,600 for the the local charity. 

Brothers Derek and Shilo Nochisaki, students at Hauppauge High School, organized with other children to host  garage sale on Sept. 24 and 25 benefitting Angela's House. The Hauppauge-based nonprofit that assist medically frail children and their families in receiving health care and finding support.

"I thought it was just going to be something smaller, They ended up making this event a huge fundraiser. The whole lawn was full of stuff. It was amazing," said Angela's House founder Bob Policastro.

Policastro said the funds will be used to help families of sick children pay for medical supplies and equipment that cannot be covered by other means.
