Practice-A-Thon to Benefit LI Cares

Long Island music students to ask for donations this March in return for each minute spent practicing.

Music students across Long Island are being asked to raise support for while practicing their love for music.

LI Cares in Hauppauge has launched its fourth annual Practice-A-Thon this March for Long Island Music students. Music students are asked to turn their practice time into dollars by seeking donations in exchange for a minute of practice this month.

Started in 2009, this LI Cares program has raised more than $65,000 while encouraging students to improve their musical skills. All money raised through Practice-A-Thon will be counted towards the charity's Feinstein Challenge, where a portion of the donation will be matched by the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation.
