Homebuyer Assistance, Vision Health Program Coming This Week

- Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone has announced $500,000 in grants for qualified first-time homebuyers, who can receive up to $14,000 for home purchases within certain areas of the county, with applications due Oct. 13. Click here for program and application details.
- On Saturday, the Macular Degeneration Association will hold a free vision health program at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch hotel in Hauppauge. The program is free but requires advanced registration.
- Registration is ongoing for Smithtown Recreation's "Let's Do It Together Fun Time" classes for kids ages 18 months through five years with caregiver.
