  • Hauppauge High School Cheerleaders are holding a car wash this Saturday in the high school’s front circle. Stop by to get your vehicle scrubbed clean, money goes towards the team’s trip to attend Universal Cheerleaders Association Nationals.

  • When it comes to al fresco dining this summer, Blend Wine and Tapas is the place to be. Live music fills the outdoor patio Thursday through Saturday at the restaurant, located at 321 Nesconset Hwy., in Hauppauge. This weekend, features Greg Varro on Friday, Deuces Wild on Saturday and wraps up the weekend with Erin Chase on Sunday.

  • Smithtown Recreation Program offers a pre-school readiness program  for children ages 18 months - 5 years, participate with a caregiver on Friday.

Head to the Mills Pond House for a fun night of art making for Kids Night Out.  Have a fantastic Friday night while parents get a free night to themselves.  Children, ages 7 -10,can make a piggy bank out of recycled materials. RSVP in advance, $20.

    • Join LA Boxing for its grand re-opening celebration as UFC Gym this Saturday, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be free classes, raffles, give-a-ways and more.

    • Catch some live music at Perfecto Mundo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday featuring the sounds of Tim Da Costa. On Sundays, have an original portrait painted of you while you sit back and sip a beverage from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Cost is $40 - 70.

    • Catch the sounds of Abraxas, a Carlos Santana cover band featuring Juan Remus, as Musical Moments hosts  its third season of free, live, outdoor events in Russ Savat Park on Main Street in Kings Park this Friday night at 7:30.

    • The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the municipal parking lot across from the firehouse on Main Street.
