Cookbook Club

Do you enjoy looking through cookbooks, making new dishes and sharing your delicious creations with friends? Introducing a new book club just for foodies! All new and seasoned cooks are invited to stop by the adult reference desk to register and select a recipe from the cookbook selected. Smithtown

Casino Night
Nesconset Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Casino Night on Friday, from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m at the Wind Watch Golf Club in Hauppauge. Tickets cost $100. The proceeds will be used to purchase additional street lights for Smithtown Boulevard. Contact 631-724-2643 for tickets. 

Harmony Vineyard’s Art Gallery
Harmony Vineyards in Head of the Harbor invites residents to join them to view the work of world-famous photographer Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe at 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be tours of the 1690s home, tastings of wine and cheese samples with live music.

St. Patrick’s Open House

St. Patrick’s School in Smithtown will be hosting an open house at 1 p.m. Sunday for prospective parents and children looking to learn more about their Catholic educational program. Admission is free.

Commack

Bowling for Bucks Sunday

Commack School District will hold a “Bowling for Bucks” fundraising event this year to support the Special Olympics Games on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Commack Vet Lanes. More than 600 athletes will participate in the games at Commack High School in May. Click here to sign up.

Farmers Market Sunday

The winter farmers market offers certified organic vegetables and greens including Long Island corn, heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, squash and onions, fresh fruits and juices and more. The market, located at the Suffolk Y JCC at 74 Hauppauge Road, is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. until Feb. 23.

Caring for the Caregiver Support Group

Caring for a seriously ill loved one takes an enormous amount of energy, time, compassion and love.  Our ongoing support group for caregivers continues to be held every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Caroline Church Parish House, 1 Dyke Rd., Setauket.

Open House at North Shore Montessori School

Join us on Saturday at 10 a.m. for a Pre-school & Kindergarten Open House where you will be greeted by our Kindergarten Embassadors, meet our teachers, learn about the programs we offer, discover the Montessori philosophy of education and begin building your child's foundation for academic success.
