I live by a high school and I see the heroin packages on the street!!!!! So we are not doing enough. Starts with the PARENTS!!! And people realizing that its all the same, doesn't matter if it is illegal or not, addiction is a disease that runs a course and ends up in death. Whether your laying in ICU with sorosis of the liver or O.D ed from pain killers it all the same, legal or not .......thanks folks

Children learn from example, if anything we are schools are a mess and just teaching children knowing the right people is more important than knowing right from wrong and it's all about who you know instead of what you know.

Even though he is a First Class rank Boy Scout and teaches knife and axe safety, he would never think to bring his pocket knife to school.
What is wrong with your school administrators? I have a great deal of sympathy for the parents of those poor children at Newtown CT but kneejerk reactions are not going to solve the issues that need to be addressed.Neither is spitting on our Constitutional Rights as American citizens.
I'm glad that you can all smell the stink of what Bloomberg, Obama, Feinstein, and the rest are shoveling at you.

You guys really need to find politicians that you can vote for that won't wipe their backsides with our Constitution. Revoke the man's permit and confiscate his firearms for a perceived threat from a 10 year old about a Super Soaker? Absolutely unbelievable. Maybe you all need to think about relocating down here. No snow, no cold.... just be sure to bring a good pizzeria, move the Candlelight Diner here, a deli or two, and a real bagel shop.
By thw way, even though I have a Florida Concaled Weapons Permit, I rarely carry and my firearms are unloaded, locked with trigger locks, and stored in a gun safe if they aren't with me. My son and I both enjoy target shooting as a sport, NEVER go hunting or aim at anything alive and he respects what a firearm can do. Too bad it is forbidden fruit up in Suffolk County.

I…Read More must have missed the part in the the second amendment that says the right to bear arms only applies to people with no children in the home. Or children of sufficient maturity as judged by busy body parents. Unless the child actually took the gun to school, the school, the cops and the pistol license knuckleheads are all overreaching. And the Pines parent who "knows the kid" needs to mind his/her own business. Read some of the founding documents; our country was based on individual liberty, not feeling safe from children you deem to immature to live in a house with weapons.
