Hauppauge Public Library was founded in October 2001 to serve the Islip portion of the Hauppauge school district. Since…More then it has expanded rapidly to contain a diverse collection of books, music CDs and even e-books for iPods. Its open-air interior has a number of tables and computer work stations and also offers free Wi-Fi. The library is a member of Suffolk Wave and hosts children, teen and adult programs year-round.
