Kenyon Hopkin
Kenyon lives in Kings Park and has a day job in Smithtown. A freelance writer and DJ for over a decade, he has written for the Long Island Press, Newsday, allmusic.com and AOL's Digitalcity.com, among other media outlets. Since 2005, he has run his own music and pop culture website, advancecopy.net. When asked to name-drop music artists he has interviewed, Kenyon will likely mention Gary Numan, Ladytron, Of Montreal, the Bravery, the Donnas, My Morning Jacket, Fischerspooner, Fishbone and the Polyphonic Spree. DJing credentials include a long-running music show at WUSB Stony Brook, as well as many regular and one-time gigs at various clubs and bars throughout Long Island and Brooklyn. A graduate of Stony Brook University, his other interests include selling things on eBay, the drama of WWE, photography, and horror films of all kinds.
