Skate for Boston Marathon Victims at The Rinx

Spend a day watching players take the ice and help raise money for those most affected by the Boston bombings.

Suffolk County Hockey Leagues, along with  their sponsors, will host a Memorial Day Hockey Tournament May 27 beginning at 9 a.m. at The Rinx in Hauppauge in a Skate for Boston event to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

The event will raise money for The One Fund Boston Foundation. The OneFund Boston, Inc. was created at the request of Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. The Victim Relief Fund of The One Fund Boston will be used to assist those families of the victims who were killed and the victims who were most seriously affected as a result of the tragic events during the Boston Marathon on April 15 and related events on April 18 and 19. 

Watch Suffolk County hockey players take the ice in games throughout the day and participate in an auction. The event is presented by the Suffolk County Hockey League,

Admission is $5. Children younger than 12 are free.
