PHOTOS: Nesconset's Commemorative 9/11 Memorial

The corner of Gibbs Pond Road and Smithtown Boulevard holds the 9/11 Responders Remembered Memorial.

Put in almost a year ago, the , created by the 9/11 Responders Remembered nonprofit, sits as a beautiful remembrance of the people who lost their lives from the attacks of 9/11.

Located on the corner of Gibbs Pond Road and Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset, the quaint-sized park contains three granite walls, which contain some of the names of patrons who lost their lives during the attacks or from resulting illnesses. Not all the names have been added yet; 900 names still await to be engraved. Since being fully landscaped, the memorial makes for a scenic honor to our fallen heros.
