Jewelry Theft, Criminal Mischief Reported in Hauppauge
A look at the recent criminal activity in Hauppauge.
The owner of Ageless Rx, located on Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge, reported Sept. 9 that someone removed the door etching on the front door. The incident is thought to have taken place sometime between 3 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 10 a.m. on Sept. 9.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Susan Shindler, 53, of Hauppauge, was arrested Sept. 15 at 7:22 p.m. at her home and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony. Police said she allegedly took jewelry from a home in Melville on Sept. 5.
