Hauppauge Resident Being Honored at Citi Field

John Panero will be recognized for his efforts to help children with special needs.

Hauppauge resident John Panaro will be honored next month at Citi Field for his efforts to help children with special needs.

Panero will be awarded by the New York Mets and the Center for Wealth Preservation, a General Agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), on Special Needs Awareness Night, May 8 when the Mets play the Chicago White Sox.

Panero joined the Center for Wealth Preservation in 2006 and is a Certified Financial Planner with more than 26 years’ experience serving families in the NY metro area.

Panero is one of a relatively few number of advisors in the country who have earned the Chartered Special Needs Consultant designation.  He is a course instructor with the Association for Children with Down Syndrome 5 Plus Program and was honored by ACDS for his commitment to the Special Needs Community and for helping families develop a Life Care Plan to help assure the best quality of life for their children.

He has served as a Long Island board member of Easter Seals NY, has been a frequent speaker for many special needs organizations on Long Island and is currently a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Long Island Community Foundation.

The event honors the 54 million Americans nationwide with disabilities, and acknowledges their extraordinary families and caregivers.

Complimentary tickets for this ballgame are available to special needs families. To inquire about these limited seats or to speak with a Special Care Planner, call the Center for Wealth Preservation at (516) 682-3310.
